Akhilesh Yadav dubs bulldozer action unconstitutional

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that bulldozer action is unconstitutional. We congratulate the Supreme Court. We express gratitude that after the Supreme Court’s decision, it is expected that bulldozer action will stop forever.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the supreme order of justice has sidelined not only the bulldozer but also the destructive politics of those who misused the bulldozer. Today the wheels of the bulldozer have come off and the steering has come off the handle. This is an identity crisis for those who had made the bulldozer their symbol.

Yadav said that now neither the bulldozer will be able to run, nor the time has come for parking for those who make it run. Today the bulldozer thinking itself has been demolished. Now will they misuse the bulldozer by changing its name? Actually this is not a question of the public, but a big apprehension.

Akhilesh Yadav said that bulldozer action cannot be justice in a democracy. There have been many such incidents of bulldozer action in Uttar Pradesh. Whenever the court considers them, action will be taken against the government because the state government has deliberately used bulldozers forcefully to scare people. This BJP government used bulldozers as a tool. It was misused to suppress the voice of the opposition and the public.

Yadav said that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the government and the people of BJP were glorifying the bulldozer so much that it seemed as if bulldozers were justice. They used to talk so much in their programs and rallies, which created fear among the people. Now the decision of the Supreme Court has come. So the bulldozer will stop. Justice will be given by the court. Bulldozer can be a symbol of injustice, it cannot be a symbol of justice.
